Jim Armstrong Shooting Clinic on 12/27

Strong Hockey is instructing a 1.5 hr. Shooting Clinic, Dec. 27th in Webster.  Learn to shoot quicker, harder, and more accurate! A ton of shots; forehands, backhands, moving to shoot, shooting from a pass.  Goalies are needed and 1/2 price.

1/15 MLK Jim Armstrong Stickhandling Clinic

1.5 hours of Expert Instruction + Drills

We Will Teach the Proper Techniques of Stickhandling
We will Focus On:

  • Creative Moves With the Puck
  • Deeking
  • Faking
  • Stickhandling to Shoot
  • Carrying the Puck by Your Opponent

Where: at the Webster Arena
When: January 15th, MLK Day
Session #1: Ages 6 – 9, 9:00 - 10:25 a.m.
Session #2: Ages 10 – 14, 10:25 - 11:50 a.m.
Total Cost: $28; for 2 from the same family $50
- Suggest registering early as class size will be limited to 32 skaters.
- 4 Instructors on-ice with 25+ skaters

Strong Hockey Veteran's Day Clinic 11/10/2017

Strong Hockey is instructing an Aggressiveness Clinic, Friday, Nov. 10th, Veterans Day vacation, in Webster.  1.5 hours of teaching your skater how to Get After It!  Using body position to gain control of the multiple loose pucks that occur in a game.  In the corners, along the boards, in front of the net, in open ice.  Play with more confidence, be more Aggressive and have the puck in your control more.   We will match the kids up according to size.  See below to download the flyer or register at

Strong Hockey Clinics at Webster Rink - Columbus Day 10/9

There are two set for Columbus Day, October 9th. 
  • The first one is:  October 9th, Columbus Day, 9:00 – 10:25 a.m., – “A Let’s Skate Clinic” from Strong Hockey, an Early-Season Agility Skating Clinic for Ages 6 – 12.  Better quickness and gaining speed.  Improve for the season! 
  • The second one is: October 9th, Columbus Day, 10:25 – 11:50 a.m., – “A Checking Clinic” from Strong Hockey.  For Bantams and 2nd year Pee Wees (they receive contact too).  How to Receive and Give Checks properly and safely.  We will start at 1/2 speed and match them up again their own sizes.  - Gain and Learn to Play with Confidence!

Webster Youth Hockey and NEW WYHA Goalie Coordinator, John Campana, are proud to announce a partnership with Bob Janosz. Bob is the AHL's Rochester Amerks goalie coach, owner/operator of Janosz School of Goaltending and the premier goalie trainer in Western NY. To see Bob Janosz's Bio or to see details on his camps click here.
WYHA and Bob Janosz School of Goaltending will be running several free goalie clinics for all WYHA goalies between October and February for the 2015-16 season. More details on this partnership as well as John Campana's world class goaltender training program for the 2015-16 season will be coming soon. Below is a 2016 Program Guide. The Board thought it would be helpful to see in one spot what we plan on offering this year. It may help you plan out the activities.

Please tell your friends who might be interested in the sport to look at a few programs. 

K-2 Micro Lacrosse - this year girls sticks will be handed out. This is 4 week session in partnership with our boys club. Its a perfect way to get introduced to the sport and to try it out. Register at:

Spring Training New to Lacrosse Program We are offering “learn to lax” and new to lacrosse program for any and all who want to try this great sport. This 3-4 week session will introduce girls age 3-6th grades to the sport. We will focus on the basics, providing an environment for newer players to listen, learn and have some fun without the intimidation of those who have been playing for some time. This session is geared to helping girls interested in entering the sport. Dates are being Finalized and registration to be open shortly.
