Boulter Classic Tournament Schedules and Standings

General Information

3/12/2020: After an afternoon of negotiations with numerous parties both in the hockey community and outside of it, the WYHA Board made the very difficult decision to cancel the Boulter Tournament on the weekend of March 12-15.  This includes all games between local teams scheduled for 3/12. Please be patience with us as we process refunds of Tournament Fees.  We will get this done as quickly as possible. We appreciated the many teams who stated they would be coming and would support us in any decisions made. Hopefully we will be able to hold this Tournament next year and teams will consider coming back next year.
Update on Refunds: Checks are written to the person who wrote the check and we have all of the addresses from the envelopes used to mail in Tournament applications (those that paid online we have your info too!). The WYHA Treasurer has written all of the checks and mailed them!  All checks come from Webster Youth Hockey.

Thank you to all teams who signed up!

Tournament Corona Virus Update

Following up on our communication from 3/10, which featured a message from USA Hockey, the Boulter tournament for March 12-15 will proceed as currently scheduled. We have been monitoring recommendations from the CDC and USA Hockey and there have been no advisories regarding the cancellation of youth sporting events. There is no mandate from the local health department to shut down events.

We are requesting that all of the tournament rinks this weekend ensure that surfaces at the facilities are kept as clean as possible and soap dispensers are filled and the rinks have agreed.

Based on CDC recommendations, you should not plan to travel or attend a tournament if any of the following apply to you:

  • You are in a high-risk group such as older adults or those with underlying conditions such as heart disease, diabetes or lung disease.
  • You feel sick in any way or have a higher than normal temperature.
  • You have recently traveled in any areas identified as high risk by the CDC

USA Hockey and Webster Youth Hockey recommend the following (based on USA Hockey's most recent communication regarding Corona Virus):

  • Practice frequent and meticulous hand-washing with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  • Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and/or sneezing with a tissue or flexed elbow
  • Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
  • Quarantine anyone who is sick (players, coaches, parents, roommates)
  • Ensure safe food sources; thoroughly cook meat and eggs
  • Handshake lines after games should include fist bumps with gloves on
  • Use individual water bottles; do not share them
  • Towels should not be shared in any way

We will notify team contacts immediately if there are any changes to our schedules or if the CDC's or USA Hockey's recommendations change.
