WYHA Summer Power Skating Camps are OPEN for Registration
The Power-Skating Camps include five hour-long on-ice sessions to develop the most important FUNdamental skills required to be competitive in ice hockey. All activities will be age-appropriate, progressive, and challenging. To enhance players’ quickness in today’s small-area, rapid paced game, specific emphasis is placed on developing:
Efficient stride technique, agility, balance, coordination, and edge strength
Quick change of direction and lateral mobility
Power development for rapid acceleration, transitions, turns, and crossovers
Supporting skills of puck-handling, passing and shooting
6U-10U session: targeted towards any player who has completed a season of 6U Pony program, 8U RWB program, or is registered to play in the upcoming 8U RWB or 9U/10U Squirt programs.
11U-14U session: designed to address the skating needs of any 11/12U-14U aged player from any level registered for the upcoming season (Empire House or Travel).
