Read below for instructions on registering players for the Beginner, Pony/6U, Empire House (RWB/8U through Midget/18U), Girls (14U and 16U/19U) and Travel (9U through 18U) programs. Bantam Red players will receive instructions and a link to register from their Head Coach or Manager.
- Always use your child's legal name when registering with USA Hockey and WYHA. This is the name shown on their birth certificate or passport. An incorrect name will disable a player's birth date verification, thus they cannot play in any games until corrected.
- Register under the correct program. If your children will play in different programs, you must complete each of their registrations separately, using their specific program registration links. Failure to do so will result in an incorrect fee and hassles to get fees and other information corrected.
01 | Create a WYHA account
For instructions on how to create an account, see our FAQs.
Note: Families must establish a new account if they were not members of WYHA in previous years. If your player was a member of WYHA in a previous year (or paid the $150 for tryouts/evaluations), your family will already have an account and you can skip this step.
02 | Register your child as an Ice Player with USA Hockey
Please visit membership.usahockey.com and follow the instructions.
Note: USA Hockey registration is required. 6U players are free.
03 | Register with WYHA
For instructions on how to register a player, see our FAQs.
04 | Complete payment
For information on our payment plan, see here.
Note: Pricing shown for the Empire House, Travel and Girls programs assume payment of $150 at Travel/Girls tryouts or at Empire House evaluations. If this first payment was not made, then this can be paid as part of registration.
Payment by check: Please contact the Registrar at email@example.com at least 48 hours before the registration deadline to have a special link generated to register your child. Parents will be expected to pay using the same terms as parents paying online.
Discounts and fees:
Early registration discount: $50 off - only available for House, Pony, Girls and Travel, if registered by June 30th.
Family discount: $50 off - only available for the second, third, etc. child registered in a family. If the family discount is claimed for the first child, then your family will be billed $50 for the first child.
Goalie discount: 20% off - for players 9U and older. Coaches will require players to play this position (may skate out for half of the games if the team has two Goalies) if registered using this option. Note: 8U players are not eligible for the Goalie discount as USA Hockey encourages all players to try the Goalie position. Goalies are not eligible for other discounts.
Payment plan fee: Pay in full to avoid the $25 fee.
Late registration fee: $50 for registrations after July 31. This fee does not apply to the Beginner and Pony programs, but it is recommended that players be registered for these programs as early as possible as both programs fill up quickly.
